Blaptica dubia (guyana orange spotted roach) is a very popular feeder roach in Europe and has become increasingly popular in the U.S. They are good breeders, long-lived, calm, and create little odor which makes them an even more popular secies of roach. Also, this roach has a very mild manner compared to the blaberus species. Often during cleaning nymphs will play dead making them easy to handle. These roaches usually reach adulthood in 3-5 months and then will live another 12-24 months. The guyana orange spotted roach is a non-climbing and non-flying species.
